Scott believes effective communications strategies and compelling narratives can create significant value for companies and investors. He is a trusted advisor to some of the world’s largest activist investors and corporations in high-profile proxy fights, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and other special situations. He has a proven track record of success, offering unique insight to investment professionals, boards and management teams on strategy, media engagement, reputation management and other corporate governance matters.
For nearly two decades, Scott was a top financial journalist, most recently at Bloomberg News in New York covering mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, and other contested situations. Earlier in his career, he served as a war correspondent in Afghanistan and as a political reporter. He now utilizes the specialized skillset he developed as a journalist to support the firm’s work on high-profile media mandates and crisis communications matters across the U.S. and Canada.
Scott is a world traveler, music lover, amateur chef and long-suffering Blue Jays fan.
