August Strategic Communications Opens Dallas Office

Office Led by Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer Beau Falgout 

Dallas, Texas — September 7, 2022 — August Strategic Communications (“August” or the “Firm”), a specialized strategic communications advisory firm, announced today that it has opened an office in Dallas, Texas, marking its first new market entry since the Firm began operations in Los Angeles and New York in October 2021. Beau Falgout, a Managing Director and the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer, will lead the office and August’s expansion into the Southwest. He will be supported by Dallas-based Associate, Sydney Fleet, and team members from August’s offices in Los Angeles and New York.

August’s Dallas team includes:

  • Beau Falgout, Managing Director, COO, and Healthcare Practice Lead – A Dallas native, Mr. Falgout has served clients across all industries involved in crises, litigation matters, investigations, and financial transactions, as well as in investor relations and corporate positioning campaigns. He has unique expertise in the healthcare industry, having previously served in strategy and M&A roles with Medtronic, the world’s largest medical device company. Mr. Falgout began his career in investment banking at Stephens Inc. in Dallas, where he executed equity transactions in the midstream sector of the oil and gas industry. He earned his MBA at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and his BA in International Relations at the University of Southern California.

  • Sydney Fleet, Associate – Ms. Fleet has provided strategic communications support to clients in a variety of situations, including litigation matters, crises, and long-term corporate positioning situations. She is a strategic thinker who believes in the power of detailed and informed communications to positively influence reputation and enhance trust among clients and their key stakeholders. Prior to joining August, Ms. Fleet served as an Associate intern for the Firm. Before that, she supported a large, privately held loan servicer as a marketing intern. Ms. Fleet earned her BBA in Marketing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
